Ministry of Rural Development has taken up the task of collecting comprehensive information on the GPs. An assessment of village level infrastructure facilities and amenities was done by a team of officials regarding identification of parameters related to infrastructure, human development, and economic development. Which includes extraction of Village level infrastructure Data of Census 2011 & baseline situation of GPs and Extraction of ODF Status Data availability of piped drinking water data from Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation then mapping of these GPs to standardized and updated LGD Coded along with mapping to NREGA Soft.
In Mission Antyodaya all the progress on important indicators are measured against baseline data through a robust MIS developed for this purpose.
The motive of the Survey was to identify the States- 5000 Rural clusters comprising of approx. 50,000 GPs which will be made poverty free within 1000 days.
A baseline survey on these indicators has been carried out by the State Government in 5000 Clusters/50,000 GPs during Gram Samridhi Evam Swachchata Pakhwada from 1st to 15th October, 2017. This baseline data would be used to monitor the progress of the GPs/Cluster against the identified indicators, besides ranking the GPs.
